Matched up against Giagos
Bahamondes will fight Christos Giagos at UFC Vegas 89 on April 6, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
A loss to L'udovit Klein snapped Bahamondes' three-fight winning streak, but he'll have an opportunity to get back in the win column against Giagos, who has lost three of his last four.

Lousy effort as big favorite
Bahamondes lost to L'udovit Klein via unanimous decision (27-30, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC on ESPN 50 on Saturday in Nashville.
ANALYSIS
Entering as a hefty -250 favorite, Bahamondes was never able to get on track. Ignacio was the man that entered with a significant size and reach edge, but it was Klein that repeatedly got inside without issue. Bahamondes' takedown defense was poor, as Klein was able to pin him to the match for long stretches at a time. Round 2 was the only one in which Bahamondes generated any sort of damage, but his gas tank seemed to evaporate in the process, allowing Klein to cruise to the finish line. Ignacio won't be 26 years of age until late-August, so he can afford to absorb a poor performance such as this. The defeat snaps a three-fight winning streak for Bahamondes.

Klein fight scheduled
Bahamondes will fight L'udovit Klein in a lightweight bout at UFC Nashville on Aug. 5, according to Nolan King of USA Today.
ANALYSIS
Bahamondes and Klein were supposed to fight at UFC 277 on July 30, but the former withdrew because of visa issues. Bahamondes was replaced by Mason Jones, and Klein eventually pulled a huge upset win over him in London. However, Klein is trying to redeem himself after getting a lucky draw against Jai Herbert at UFC 286.

Easily handles Trey Ogden
Bahamondes defeated Trey Ogden via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) at UFC 287 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
Normally a lightweight, Bahamondes fought -- and dominated -- Ogden at 160 pounds after the latter accepted this bout on short notice. Just 25 years of age, Ignacio has proven to be a high-end striker. At 6-foot-3, Ignacio is massive for the 155-pound division, and he used his length to stick to the outside and land a whopping 41-of-47 leg kicks on Ogden. All told, Bahamondes connected on 99 total strikes compared to just 42 from his opponent. A product of Dana White's Contender Series and the winner of three in a row, Bahamondes is a fighter to keep an eye on as 2023 progresses.
