Rockets Edge Jazz In Utah
The Houston Rockets defeated the host Utah Jazz, 101-100, at Delta Center on Friday evening.

The Jazz jumped out to a strong start and led, 23-13, after one quarter. The Rockets picked up their play in the second and managed to trim it to a six-point game at the break. The score stayed tight through the third and after a couple of lead changes, the hosts maintained a three-point edge entering the final quarter. Both sides kept up the fight through a competitive fourth quarter, but the Rockets took control in the final minute and maintained the upper hand to close out their 11th straight win. This also marks the eighth straight loss for the Jazz.

Jalen Green led the Rockets with 34 points, nine rebounds, six assists and two steals, in 39 minutes. Fred VanVleet followed up with 22 points, two rebounds, six assists, four steals and three blocks, while Amen Thompson logged 18 points, 14 rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block.

Meanwhile, John Collins led the Jazz with 30 points, 11 rebounds, a steal and two blocks, in 30 minutes. Collin Sexton followed up with 29 points, six rebounds, five assists and two blocks, while Johnny Juzang chipped in 12 points, two rebounds and three assists, off the bench.

The Jazz (29-45) will look to bounce back as they clash with the Kings on Sunday. The Rockets (38-35) play host to the Mavericks on Sunday.
