Slight improvement in second season
Philips recorded 15 receptions on 22 targets for 181 yards across nine games with the Titans in 2023. He also had 13 yards as a kick returner and 23 as a punt returner.
ANALYSIS
Philips had the chance to win the starting slot role during training camp, but he was sidelined by a knee injury and wasn't able to take the field until Week 5. He never really hit his stride from there, failing to play half of the offensive snaps in any game this season. However, he still managed to double the production from his rookie season and could see another modest uptick in his numbers in 2024 if he can remain healthy.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Praised by GM
GM Ran Carthon expects Philips to take a step forward in his second NFL season, per Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site.
ANALYSIS
"I am really excited to see what a healthy Kyle can do," Carthon said of Philips at the NFL meetings in late March. "I think he put some really impressive snaps together in the slot." Philips had six catches for 66 yards in his NFL debut, but the 2022 fifth-round pick was limited to just two catches in three appearances thereafter while battling shoulder and hamstring injuries. Given the lack of established options in Tennessee's receiving corps, Philips could see plenty of targets in his second NFL season if he can stay healthy.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2022
Philips was a fifth-round selection in the 2022 draft and fit as a potential slot receiver standing at 5-11 and 189 pounds. He gained some helium after showing chemistry with Ryan Tannehill during training camp and tallying six catches in Week 1 against the Giants. From there, he was derailed by shoulder and hamstring injuries that limited his ability to make an impact for the rest of the campaign. Entering 2023, he should have the chance to occupy the slot role once again assuming he can stay on the field, with Treylon Burks and DeAndre Hopkins likely the team's top outside receivers.
