Nuggets Hold Off Spurs
The Denver Nuggets defeated the visiting San Antonio Spurs, 110-105, at Ball Arena on Tuesday evening.

The Nuggets got out to a strong start and led, 30-23, after one quarter. The Spurs turned up their play in the second and rallied to cut it to a one-point game at the break. Both sides brought the fight in the third and produced 31 points each, as the hosts maintained a one-point advantage heading into the final frame. The Nuggets jumped to a nine-point lead early in the fourth, but the Spurs clawed back to claim a, 100-99, lead with four minutes remaining. The Nuggets reclaimed the momentum from there, closing the game on an, 11-5, run to secure their second straight win. This also marks the second straight loss for the Spurs.

Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 42 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block, in 38 minutes. Aaron Gordon followed up with 23 points, seven rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block, while Michael Porter tallied 15 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.

Meanwhile, Malaki Branham led the Spurs with 24 points and three rebounds, in 37 minutes. Victor Wembanyama followed up with 23 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, a steal and nine blocks, while Tre Jones racked up 10 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists, a steal and a block.

The Spurs (18-58) will look to bounce back as they take on the Pelicans in New Orleans on Friday. The Nuggets (53-23) clash with the Clippers in L.A. on Thursday.
