76ers Top Thunder, 109-105
The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 109-105, at Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday night.

The marquee interconference battle unsurprisingly opened in hotly contested fashion, with the 76ers (41-35), despite having Joel Embiid back on the floor after an extended layoff due to a knee injury, only holding a slim 25-22 lead through one. However, the Thunder (52-23), fighting to keep control of the top seed in the Western Conference yet missing MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, roared back on the second to erase their deficit and take a 10-point advantage into halftime. Philadelphia would knock off only three points from that figure in the third, and the hosts managed to eventually claw all the way back from what ballooned back up to an 11-point edge from Oklahoma City by finishing on a 26-11 run over the final 7:05.

Chet Holmgren led the Thunder with 22 points, adding seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks. Luguentz Dort and Aaron Wiggins produced matching 15-point contributions while posting four and eight rebounds, respectively. Isaiah Joe furnished 14 points, seven assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block. Josh Giddey finished with 10 points, five rebounds, three assists and one block.

Kelly Oubre Jr. paced the 76ers with 25 points, supplementing them with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. Embiid compiled 24 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals. Tobias Harris supplied 18 points, six rebounds, four assists and one block. Paul Reed registered 12 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one block. Cameron Payne generated a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double that included five assists and one steal.

The Thunder remain on the road and visit the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night, while the 76ers visit the Miami Heat on Thursday night.
