Heat Cruises To Win Over Wizards
The Miami Heat defeated the Washington Wizards, 119-107, at Capital One Arena on Sunday.

The Heat (41-33) cruised to an easy win over a struggling Wizards (14-61) team despite playing away from home. The game was tight at first, as the first quarter ended with a 29-29 tie, but the Heat pulled away in the second quarter with a 37-30 score. Miami kept the momentum going in the third quarter and bolstered their lead even further following a 29-21 score. The Wizards tried to fight back in the fourth quarter and won the final frame by a 27-24 score. However, that was not enough to mount a comeback, and the Heat cruised to victory. With the win, the Heat sit just 0.5 games behind the Indiana Pacers for the sixth and final direct playoff berth in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Wizards are now just 0.5 games ahead of the Detroit Pistons in the race to avoid finishing the Eastern Conference standings in last place.

Terry Rozier ended with 27 points, four rebounds and four steals to lead the Heat. Bam Adebayo finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals. Jimmy Butler had 17 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Nikola Jovic posted 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists. Haywood Highsmith posted 10 points off the bench. The Heat shot 49.4 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from three-point range.

Jordan Poole led the way for the Wizards with 22 points, eight assists and four rebounds. Deni Avdija had 15 points, nine rebounds and six assists. Corey Kispert ended with 13 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals. Marvin Bagley III had 12 points and 10 rebounds. Anthony Gill had 18 points and four rebounds off the bench. The Wizards shot 45.5 percent from the field and 28.9 percent from deep.
