Warriors Defeat Spurs, 117-113
The Golden State Warriors defeated the host San Antonio Spurs, 117-113, at Frost Bank Center on Sunday.

There were only two ties and three lead changes in this game, with Golden State holding the lead for the final 20 minutes. That can be attributed to Golden State outscoring San Antonio, 37-21, in the third quarter. The Spurs never had a game-tying shot over those closing 20 minutes. The Warriors shot 49 percent from the field and 41 percent from three-point range, while the Spurs shot 45 percent from the field and 39 percent from long range. Golden State also recorded 15 steals to San Antonio's seven, winning the turnover battle, 19-15.

The Warriors (40-34) were led by Stephen Curry, collecting 33 points and eight assists. Draymond Green generated 21 points, six rebounds, 11 assists and six steals. Klay Thompson totaled 13 points, two rebounds, three assists and two steals. Brandin Podziemski led the bench with 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Spurs (18-57) were led by Victor Wembanyama, finishing with 32 points, nine rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks. Cedi Osman amassed 18 points and two rebounds. Tre Jones tallied 12 points, five rebounds and six assists, while Zach Collins led the bench with 13 points, eight rebounds and two assists.

Both teams return to action on Tuesday, with Golden State returning home to play the Dallas Mavericks and San Antonio traveling to face the Denver Nuggets.
