Jokic posts triple-double as Nuggets dominate Cavaliers in Sunday matinee
The Denver Nuggets took down the Cleveland Cavaliers, 130-101, at Ball Arena on Sunday afternoon.

The Nuggets (52-23) led for most of Sunday’s game, though the Cavaliers (45-30) managed to keep the deficit within single digits for most of the first half. The third quarter is when Denver took control, as the Nuggets won the frame 36-21 and saw their lead grow to as much as 29 points. With the game out of reach, both teams opted to empty their benches down the stretch. The Nuggets improved to 30-8 at home as they shot 57.5 percent from the field and went 21-for-33 from three-point range. The Cavaliers dropped to 21-16 on the road and were dominated on the boards, 51-28.

Evan Mobley led the Cavaliers with 23 points, four rebounds and two blocks. Jarrett Allen chipped in 19 points and four rebounds, while Caris LeVert led the bench with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals. Donovan Mitchell added 13 points and six assists, while Max Strus tallied nine points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals.

Nikola Jokic registered his 23rd triple-double of the season Sunday with 26 points, 18 rebounds and 16 assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 22 points, three rebounds and four assists, while Michael Porter tallied 19 points and six rebounds. Reggie Jackson finished with 19 points, three rebounds and three assists. Christian Braun led the bench with 10 points and six rebounds.

Both teams will next play April 2. The Cavaliers will travel to Utah to face the Jazz, while the Nuggets welcome in the San Antonio Spurs.
