Mavericks Topple Rockets, 125-107
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Houston Rockets, 125-107, at Toyota Center on Sunday night.

The Mavericks (45-29) got the faster start in the matchup of two hot teams, forging a 12-point lead through one and adding another nine points to their advantage over the Rockets (38-36) by halftime. Houston, which had won 11 straight, did manage to make a three-point dent in its deficit during the third, but there was never any doubt as to the outcome over the final 12 minutes.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with a 47-point, 12-rebound double-double that included seven assists and two steals. Kyrie Irving supplied 24 points, seven assists, three rebounds and one steal. Dante Exum registered 13 points, two assists and one rebound. P.J. Washington supplied 12 points, six boards, two assists, one steal and one block.

Jabari Smith Jr. paced the Rockets with 28 points, complementing them with seven rebounds, two assists and three blocks. Aaron Holiday supplied 16 points, five boards, two assists and two steals. Cam Whitmore furnished 13 points, five rebounds, one assist and three steals. Jalen Green finished with 12 points, six boards, five assists and one steal. Jock Landale managed 11 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal. Fred VanVleet recorded 10 points, seven assists and two boards.

The Mavericks visit the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, while the Rockets visit the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night as well.
