Gilgeous-Alexander's last-second shot lifts Thunder past Knicks
The Oklahoma City Thunder survived against the New York Knicks, 113-112, at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.

It was a game of momentum swings at Madison Square Garden, with both teams taking turns with runs throughout the contest. The Knicks (44-30) led by five points after the first quarter, but the Thunder (33-24) took control in the second quarter to go into halftime up four points. New York started the third quarter hot with an 8-0 run and won the frame, 39-25. Oklahoma City answered back with a 15-5 run to start the fourth quarter, and the two teams exchanged leads and buckets from there. The Knicks took the lead on a Jalen Brunson layup with four seconds to go, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander answered with a 14-foot jump shot with 2.1 seconds left as the Thunder held on to claim victory. Oklahoma City improved to 23-14 on the road with the win, while New York dropped to 24-14 at home.

Jalen Williams led the Thunder with 33 points, four rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and two steals. Gilgeous-Alexander added 19 points, two rebounds and three assists. Josh Giddey registered his second triple-double of the season (and 10th of his career) with 16 points, 13 rebounds, 12 assists and two blocks. Jaylin Williams led the bench with eight points, eight rebounds and two assists, while Chet Holmgren added five points and five rebounds.

Brunson led the Knicks with 30 points, two rebounds and seven assists. Miles McBride finished with 19 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Isaiah Hartenstein recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 17 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. Donte DiVincenzo added 15 points, two assists and two steals, while Josh Hart tallied 13 points, 15 rebounds and six assists for his 18th double-double of the season.

With Sunday’s game in the books, both teams will next play Tuesday, April 2. The Thunder visit the Philadelphia 76ers, while the Knicks travel to Miami to take on the Heat.
